I have an issue with these advertisements. I’ve seen them around for a bit and every time I see one it makes me uncomfortable. The reason is because they are comparing women to animals. I have yet to see a similar ad but with male models.
Does anyone have an opinion about these?

Yes, I agree, women having the same named parts as animals is not a good thing.
In fact, its very derogatory. For one, these ads only portray women and not men. So it’s not just All humans have the same parts as animals, but all “animals” alluding to the idea that women are in the same category as animals - which calling a woman an animal has alot of sexual charge behind it. Men are not even mentioned in this visual narrative, because just as a patriarchy societey demonstrates itself with asserting it’s power over women and animals, men are the people targeted in this ad, so they cannot be placed on the same status level as those who they have dominated (Kinda defeats the purpose right?)
For two these ads are sexualized towards a male audience. Men eat animals like they eat women. This ad is essentially saying, don’t eat animals, treat them like you treat these pretty sexy women…The thing is however, that our visual culture has perpetuated treating women like animals, and that again has that sexualized implicaiton. So instead the ad inadvertently comes off as “are you a thigh man, or a breast man…Which cut do you prefer?” completley missing the point peta was trying to make. Unless it’s to women, but even then it is confusing. Should women perpetuate treating animals with the same status as themselves. - oh wait. It could be a rude awakening. Fight for animal rights does not give you the right to negativley perpetuate derogatory images of women. In my opinion.
Granted this is just my opinion, and It is certanly not to say all men treat women like animals, Of course they dont. but our visual culture has perpetuated that the “status quo” male does, and that is the problem
