Growing up I’ve watched a lot of different versions of Sherlock Holmes. I’ve never been able to pick a favourite Sherlock or John, because so many fine actors have played them both, but when it comes to Moriarty hands down Andrew Scott is by far the best.
The man is brilliant. Everything about that pool scene is perfect. One moment I’m on the edge of my seat and praying for Moriarty’s downfall. In the next moment I’m laughing and finding the man delightfully evil. My favourite line.
“If you’re telling the truth I’ll make you rich. If you’re lying to me I’ll make you into shoes.”
