Seriously. If someone makes an original character and it’s accepted into a setting, even if it’s a sue, life moves on. People RP what makes them happy. They are not put on this earth to RP what makes YOU happy. You can hash out a profile till it’s perfect but if they want a sue, they’ll RP a sue. Does it suck? Oh hell it always does. But nothing gives a person a right to tell another how to play their character. God-moding? Yeah, you take it to a Mod/GM, but the actual character? Oh hell no. Being told how to play a character you made sucks, and when you try to fit into that mold, often you end up hating it. If a character is accepted into a setting, so be it. You don’t like it, don’t RP with them. But never tell them that they are playing their own original character wrong. You didn’t make that character. They did. To have fun. You shouldn’t be able to tell people that they are having fun ‘wrong’.
RP what makes you happy, and if their character you think sucks makes them happy, let them be happy. If you really have to speak up? Ask yourself, ‘If it were me, would I enjoy hearing this from another player?’
