Remember this kid? Well I only do because I had just recently rewatched Avatar the Last Airbender. So this kid is my new theory as to who Amon is.
This new theory is based on the most recent episode of Korra. It may be a little out there, but I don’t think it is terribly unlikely.
Lee as a boy lived on a Farm in the Earth Kingdom. He witnessed what war does. Now Amon mentioned living on a farm as a boy and one of the reasons for his hate of benders is what happened in the past with the Fire Nation. Not to mention losing his father and getting his face burned.
Zuko saved Lee’s town, but at the cost of using fire bending. This caused Lee to hate Zuko, who he started to look as an older brother. Maybe Lee got over this, but if he is Amon this could have aided in his hate of benders.
Now age. I don’t think there is an exact age on Lee since he only appeared in one episode. But if we guess that he was about 5-7 years old that would make him around the age of 75-77. Now for those that think, “But that’s too old to be a bad ass!”… Think again. Remember all the “old” benders that were completely amazing! Iroh anyone? Or Bumi? So yes the age would be older, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be capable of some crazy awesome (though quite unfortunate) power.
This about wraps up my post! Maybe it’s not true, but it was fun to think about. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see!
