“Come on Bolin, we need serious ideas.”

“I was serious…”

Afjd;fs; this hurt my heart.

Because that’s part of the problem with Bolin, he genuinely doesn’t realize how impractical his idea is. He’s determined enough to see it through, but he doesn’t realize how little viability it actually has. He just wants to be useful, you know? He wants to help out, but he genuinely doesn’t know how.

Meanwhile, Mako goes out and finds a viable, real-world job immediately, because he’s the breadwinner, he’s the guy that takes care of Bolin, he’s the one that knows how to, as he says “figure out” the answers. Mako’s the guy with the plan. And all Bolin really has is his creativity and his confidence, but while he’s been living as a rockstar dating girls and living it up in the spotlight, Mako’s been agonizing behind the scenes to keep track of their finances and other living necessities. Bolin is like a naive child in some ways, because he’s likely never had to do much of that work for himself. But at the same time, Mako wants his brother to be happy, so he tells him not to worry about it. He even brings him his favorite dumplings, with what little money they don’t really have, because he thought it’d be a nice gesture, and his brother’s happiness means more than those few dollars. He rags at him for eating too much of their money away, and then goes out of his way to indulge him anyway.

I just.. FEELINGS. I’m extremely curious to see how Bolin matures over the course of this series. It’s as much a story about him and Mako, as it is about Korra.

Perfect commentary ;A;

perfect commentary is perfect
