Cut along the text margins on the book with an exact-o blade, This will ensure that the cut will remain even through the entire book. Cut all the pages or leave a good chunk of pages for stability.

Use Mod Podge glue and a foam brush: generously coat the inside and the outside of the pages. Line the inside of the covers with tin foil. If you cut all the pages, glue them to the back cover

Save the cut outs for other projects. I used the chapter headings to line the credit card section of the purse and the inside of the book.

I printed out some patterns on some of the cut out pages for decorations. I wanted to use the 221 B pattern of BBC's Sherlock to fuse the old and the new a bit.

The book pages glued onto credit card pieces of plastic. I measured and sewed a credit card holder for the inside cover. It's size was measured to fit in the hole of the cut-out-pages.

You can see how it is all beginning to come together. I used a hot glue gun to attach the credit card holder to the inside cover, leaving a pocket for notes, receipts and bills.
